Hi guys,
One of the best ways to make a trick stand out is to make it expand in time and space. Here is a practical way to do that: start the trick over text.
The message doesn’t have to include the magic trick itself, it only has to be something related to it. In the examples below there is no magic happening over text.
Here are three ideas that might inspire you for the tricks in your repertoire.
MAKE THEM GUESS SOMETHING:
Next time you meet them you will show a trick where you guess their card and they are able to guess yours. (Trick coming soon for premium subscribers)
THEY DO THE TRICK, BUT IT DOESN’T WORK:
You can let them separate a deck into red and black cards through intuition. Of course, that will not work. You make them send you the picture of their results.
The next time you see them, after an intuition-enhancing procedure, they will be able to separate them perfectly. Of course in this case you will use your favorite OOTW method.
STUDY HOW THEY THINK:
Make them write you the first word they think of after they read your messages. For example, you send “nails”, they send “polish”, you send “pineapple”, they send “pizza”. You stop after a few rounds.
The next time you see them you are able to guess what word they think of.
These are just three ideas, so you might want to come up with ones that are more suited for your repertoire. You will need to consider what is the impetus, or the phenomenon, that causes the effect. For example intuition, or mind-reading, or synchronization… Then just try to add a small phase that revolves around that.
As this can take many forms, there is not a specific formula to create one, but starting from the ideas above, I am sure you will come up with something great.
This is it for this week, see you soon.
